Once a modest fishing village in the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is today one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. One of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is home to approximately 200 nationalities and offers a really unforgettable experience to all tourists. Whether it is by the banks of the Creek, or at the top of the Burj Khalifa, the worldโs highest building, Dubai lives and breathes a sense of promise and creativity. And with an amazing coastline, breathtaking desert, and magnificent cityscapes, memories are just waiting to be formed here.
Floating across the skies, deep in the desert, high on the roofs; there are 11 best places to catch the sunset in Dubai. Have a look.
This world-famous artificial archipelago is regarded as one of Dubai’s must-see attractions for a variety of reasons, including its size. The sheer concept and architecture of the palm-shaped structure are remarkable enough, but it also provides tourists with pristine private beaches, theme parks, and magnificent hotels. During my stay at the Waldorf Astoria, which overlooks the Palm and the Atlantis resort, I took some of my favorite sunset photographs.
Take a taxi just before sunset and drive close to Atlantis or Waldorf Astoria. This area has the best views of Dubai and the sunset, and you can take a leisurely walk around the area. If you are not too bothered by the crowds and just want to enjoy the sunset, take a taxi in the early evening and drive close to Atlantis or Waldorf Astoria. Make sure you have plenty of battery power available for taking shots.
A yacht cruises through the setting sun off the shore of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, which is a popular tourist destination. Early in the evening, just as the sun is about to set, you may get an incredible view of the Atlantis Hotel, as the famed Atlantis can be seen in the glory of the setting sun, which is quite magnificent. Book your sunset cruise dubai to enjoy the mesmerizing view of the sun drowning in the background.
Sunset Beach in Jumeirah, aptly called, is a great location to soak up the warm glow of a setting sun in the city. A photographer’s and Instagram-friendly visitor’s favorite, Sunset Beach is ideal for a photo op, with the spectacular Burj Al Arab rising tall at the beach’s edge.
Sunset Beach has a more laid-back attitude. Therefore, if you like a slightly livelier sandy playground, choose Kite Beach. The popular beach is positively buzzing with activity, particularly on weekends: kitesurfing, yoga, and paddle boardingโthere is so much to do here! And, following a full day of enjoyment, kick back and relax as the sun sets for the day.
Additionally, you can enjoy dinner in one of the area’s restaurants while viewing the sunset.
For an unparalleled sunset viewing experience, make your way to the world’s tallest building. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. On levels 125 and 148, there are observation decks. If you want to go all out, the latter is an excellent position to see the sunset over the Dubai Skyline, and the premium ticket also includes access to the level 125 deck.
Are you in the mood to treat yourself? Bur Khalifa also features the world’s tallest restaurant, At.mosphere, which is located on level 122. Dine here while watching the orange sunshine on the horizon.
Pro Tip: Make reservations well in advance, as these locations are extremely popular. We had to wait five days for a spot the last time we went. Therefore, do not repeat the same mistake as I did; be prepared and book in advance.
There is no more beautiful sunset than a desert sunset; this is a fact. When visiting the area, you have a variety of possibilities; you should surely visit Al Qudra Lake. Al Qudra, a city oasis, is a cluster of man-made lakes surrounded by Seih Al Salam and Bab Al Shams desert dunes. Al Qudra is teeming with wildlife, including over 130 kinds of birds and other desert fauna such as camels and antelopes, making it an unusually scenic location for a picnic or even camping. As it is outside of the city, you will require a car; but, renting one and driving is not as frightening as it may appear.
Another alternative is to schedule a desert safari and spend the evening in the desert with one of the several tour leaders. This was my favorite experience thus far, and I adore the vistas, which are particularly spectacular after sunset when the light casts a golden glow over all it touches.
Sunsets, clouds, and nature are some of the nicest things in life because they are free and also serve as reminders of the creator’s beauty, which is why I adore traveling. No sunset is identical around the world, despite the fact that the sun is identical, which I find quite remarkable.
Because of its popularity, a desert safari in Dubai is one of the most popular tourist activities in the city. Aside from the scheduled action-packed activities, taking in the sunset or sunrise amidst the undulating dunes of the desert is an unforgettable experience. Watch in astonishment when the sun emerges from behind the enormous expanse of sand or disappears completely.
Watching the sunrise (or the sunset) in Dubai from the comfort of a hot air balloon is another enjoyable experience. As you soar over the pristine skies, keep an eye out for the massive fireball and strike the right posture to capture the moment. Just make sure to buy your tickets early in advance to prevent disappointment and to ensure that you are in the air at the appropriate time for your flight.
We appreciate our comfortable city lives, but every now and then, it’s nice to escape the bright lights and enjoy nature’s bounty. A desert safari is an ideal way to experience a real Arabian adventure and all that the desert has to offer. Once you’ve made your way to the sand dunes, there is no turning back. The desert air is colder, and when the sun sets, the dunes sparkle brilliantly in warm orange and red hues. Most camps will have traditional Emirati costumes available for photo opportunities, as well as camel rides, henna tattoos on your hands and feet, and sand boarding. A nice suggestion for you photographers out there โ climb the largest sand dune you can find just as the sun begins to set and posture someone with their hands extended as if grasping the bright red sun. We guarantee that the silhouette photograph you take will be one to remember.
The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful driving routes. The route, which is located on the fringes of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ascends the mountain for 7.3 miles (11.7 kilometers), reaching an elevation of 1.219 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level at the summit. Because there are two lanes heading up the mountain, you may drive as quickly or as slowly as you choose through the 60 curves while taking in the sights of the desert.
A total of 60 curves and three lanes (two climbing and one descending) characterize the Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road, which leads to Jebel Hafeet Mountain, which is the second-tallest mountain in the United Arab Emirates. The road makes its way up the mountain, through the rocky limestone formations that make it up, until it reaches the summit. Take this journey in the late afternoon if possible so that you may see the sunset from the top of the mountain as it sets. It is a contender for the title of ‘best driving road in the world according to motoring journalists. It is only 7.3 miles long and climbs 4,000 feet in elevation, ending in a hotel car park across the street from the ruler’s palaces. This road, which was constructed so that wealthy inhabitant could get their kicks in their million-dollar toy cars, doesn’t lead anywhere โ save to a private palace and an exclusive hotel for the wealthy. Although the road is carved into the desert, the smooth surfaces and 60 race-track-worthy turns that snake around the Hafeet mountain make the trip up and back to the summit worthwhile.
The new Bluewaters Island in Dubai is a must-see for everyone who has not yet had the opportunity to do so. The Dubai sunsets from this island are particularly beautiful, especially when the Ain Dubai is visible in the distance. Just take a short walk to the island from JBR Beach and take in the scenery.
The sunsets from Snoopy Island in Fujairah are also spectacular – there’s something about the dazzling clouds of light pulling away from the calm sea that makes them so special. Magnificent.
If you are an opacarophile then Dubai is just the right place to collect the sunsetโs mesmerizing memories. Plan your trip in a way that your day ends with beautiful places from one of the places listed above.
